How to collect testimonials that actually sell

Oct 14, 2026 · 1 min read

Ask at the right moment

The best time to ask is right after a success: a delivered order, a finished project, a solved support ticket. Send a short message with a link to your testimonial page.

Ask better questions

Instead of "Can you leave a review?", ask:

  • What problem were you trying to solve?
  • What almost stopped you from buying?
  • What changed after you started using it?

Answers to these questions turn into specific, believable stories.

Make it effortless

Use a short form: star rating, a few sentences, name and (optionally) a photo. No account, no long survey.

Approve and show them

Review new testimonials before they go live, then show them:

  • as rotating review popups on product and pricing pages;
  • on a testimonial wall on your homepage;
  • next to your signup and checkout buttons.

Say thank you

Reply to every customer who took the time to write. It builds loyalty and often leads to the next sale.
